Advice for taking your dog on holiday

  • Always have a supply of water available
    • Make sure you take with you everything your dog needs; bowls, blankets, towels, poo bags, toys and
especially enough food for the duration of your holiday as you may not be able to get your dog’s favourite brand when you are away.
  • If you are travelling by car then make sure your dog is secure by using a travel harness, travel crate or dog guard.
  • Respect the rules of the accommodation you are staying in i.e. don’t let your dog on the furniture or leave him unsupervised.
  • Be safe & courteous, keep your dog under control at all times, observe the Countryside Code and always clean up after him.
  • Make sure dog has identity tag.
