The results are in!
The first qualifying round of the Chudleys Gundog Championship commenced this weekend, held at the Kelmarsh Country Show on 16th – 17th April 2017.
The popular championship offers contestants the chance to win an array of fantastic prizes by competing in a selection of scurries and the working test.
Countless handlers and their gundogs flocked to the entry tent to battle it out in various scurries such as the Pick n Mix, Partridge Pen and Long Retrieve.
Tested against the clock the working test put the gundogs through their paces, assessing their ability to compete in artificial conditions similar to a typical shooting day.
Further qualifying rounds of the Chudleys Gundog Championship will take place at all Countryman Fairs’ events including the Broadlands Country Show, Highclere Country Show, The Country Show at Harewood, the Lowther Show, Powderham Country Show and the Midland Game Fair.
The winner of the Chudleys gundog championship will be presented with an astonishing cash prize of £2,000, an engraved trophy and rosette. The lucky winner of these amazing prizes will receive them at the championship grand final hosted at the Midland Game Fair on 16th & 17th September 2017.
