We catch up with Howard Kirby as his preparations for France are coming to a close and he will be off on his journey to the World Championships. Please see below his latest extract from his diary and how his training is going:

'At home we are hunting Rory and Tashi three times a week and then working on long marked, blind and split retrieves. The standard of The the top HPRs is so high in the UK that we need to produce dogs of the the highest quality if we are to be ‘in the frame.’ They need to handle like a Retriever, this takes a lot of work and time and trying to persuade a top quality dog that is primarily bred to Hunt that it should listen to and trust you. I love this challenge and it makes life nothing short of fascinating

I’m in regular contact with Top Chudleys Nutrionist John Lowe, he’s helping me ensure that Tashi maintains his weight and condition. At this time in the season Tashi is consumed by the thought of his next hunting expedition and is best described as ‘ a dog that enjoys only the very best of food.’ Chudleys Premium is doing it for him right now!

We are helping people training dogs at every level and the Training Centre is just buzzing with activity, you know how it is, no peace for the wicked'

Check back soon for Howard's latest diary post on his build up to France, which is now just around the corner.
