The fifth qualifying rounds of the BASC Chudleys Scurry League took place at the Rhug Country Fair over the weekend on the 8th and 9th July.
Talented handlers and their gundogs arrived early eager to compete in the challenging competition. Everyone involved aimed to get those important points that could see them qualify for the grand final in September.
The scurries in this round consisted of the Multi Pick up, Pick & Mix, Long Retrieve, Obstacle and the Junior Obstacle. The overall winner of the competition will receive an array of prizes, kindly offered by the sponsors of the event.
Congratulations to Steve Townsend and his dog Dee who impressively attained 90 points over the weekend, leading them to achieve a total of 140 points on the league table.
The next qualifying rounds of the BASC Chudleys Scurry League will be held at the Holkham Country Fair at Holkham hall, North Norfolk on the 22nd and 23rd July.
