All puppies should receive adequate colostrum from the bitch as soon after birth as possible. If this is not possible, then where possible a suitable colostrum replacement powder should be given as the first feed.
Prepare the milk by mixing 200g of powder with 800ml of warm water and feed at blood heat (37°C). Feed frequency should be between 4 and 6 times per day. At around 3 - 4 weeks of age, Chudleys Puppy/Junior may be introduced.
The amounts shown are only a guide and it is better in the early weeks to slightly underfeed than overfeed. Should any digestive upsets occur, reduce the feed rate immediately.
